The study focuses on four main transportations system—roads (trucks), rails (trains), water (ships) and land (pipelines). It examines the unnerving frequency of hazmat accidents, their impact on communities and individuals, weak regulatory oversight, well-known case studies, and how important it is for victims to seek some kind of recourse in court following a disaster.
