White House officials have contacted the office of Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., following Thursday's summit, a Coburn spokesman confirmed. GOP House and Senate leaders said the administration has not gotten in touch with them.

Coburn spoke at the summit about waste, fraud and abuse; medical malpractice reform and incentivizing prevention.
Eight survivors of medical malpractice met Monday with White House Office of Public Engagement Director Christina Tchen, where Joanne Doroshow, executive director of the Center for Justice and Democracy, who organized the meeting, said Coburn's name came up.
"She did mention Sen. Coburn, however, she could not be specific," she said.
Doroshow said Tchen ensured the group that caps on damages "are off the table." Coburn sponsored a GOP overhaul bill that endorsed a grant program for states to establish health courts. Such courts could either consist of a review panel of medical experts and attorneys that would make a ruling on the liability of both parties or a tribunal of judges with expertise in health care that would rule on liability as well.
