Spotlight: Military Family Will Soon Ask SCOTUS to Overturn Feres Doctrine

“[T]he Supreme Court concluded in the 1950 Feres ruling that the government is notliable for injuries stemming from activity ‘incident to service.’ But the doctrine has beenused time and again to dismiss egregious errors by military physicians and contractors.…This fall, the Supreme Court will receive another petition on a case involving injuriesto a baby related to circumstances of the baby's active-duty mother.”
